Representation for the Insured on a reconsideration of an appeal to a magistrate’s Court, from the decision of a licensing authority to suspend or revoke the Insured's taxi or taxi driver’s licence.
We will pursue the Insured's legal rights in civil law, arising out of any actual or alleged act or omission by a third party, which results in the Injury to the Insured.
Provided that:
1) the Insured has notified the Policyholder, Taxi drivers & Owners Legal Protection Ltd, as soon as the Insured becomes aware of a complaint or allegations being made against him or her or the possible need for legal advice or representation and in any event during the Period of Insurance
2) the incident giving rise to the alleged offence occurs within the Territorial Limits and during the course of the Insureds business activity as a hackney carriage driver and/or proprietor within the Period of Insurance.
Exclusions include claims made retrospectively when an applicant joins after the date of an offence or Non-trade related civil matters, including Motor Contract Disputes, which are not covered under the terms of our Legal Insurance Expenses Insurance scheme.
